The Special Collections Gallery exhibition ‘The Book The Object’ will also be open 17:00 to 19:00, so come along and see two very different exhibitions about the book.

The next exhibition is from the Publisher Hub, part of Graphic Arts at Winchester School of Art. It’s taking shape and should be completed later this week – but it’s an organic installation so come and see it grow …
Please join us for the private view of Re: Making on 25 February, 17:00 – 19:00. This will be held jointly with the private view of the Special Collections Gallery exhibition, The Book, The Object – an exhibition of wonderful and rare examples of books, from the 15th to the 21st century. Emphasis is on the book as a material object, which provides a fascinating dialogue with the objects on display for Re: Making.
Re: Making is an exhibition documenting three Winchester School of Art extended PGR seminars, covering curating, writing and 3D production.

The next exhibition in the Level4 space will run from 10th February to 16 March 2014, with a PV on February 13th, 5 – 7:30 pm. All welcome.
The works on display in the Level 4 Gallery derive from the research of 16 doctoral students at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. All researchers at the School are engaged in the critical making of new knowledge: each moving in and out of complex and disciplined modes of activity. Whether it is reading, writing, looking, making, coding, speaking, recording, and much else besides, each are forms of imaginative and critical engagement, developed and extended within the context of a collaborative and inter-disciplinary research community.
